WHAT TO DO AT HOME DURING QUARANTINE?

The reasons for staying at home to overcome Covid-19 are serious. As far as possible, complying with quarantine is a recommendation for a good part of the world population, in the countries that were reached by the pandemic.

Completing physical isolation, however, does not have to mean loneliness or boredom. During this period, it is important to keep in touch with family and friends through social technologies and, for those who do not live alone, there is an opportunity to spend time with those who share the home.

There are some possible precautions to maintain a pace in everyday life at home. Here are some tips.

1. Have a routine

It is very important that you create a pace for your days. Establishing schedules for certain activities and keeping busy with day-to-day tasks helps to deal with physical isolation.

2. Avoid excessive information

Accessing a lot of news or spending a lot of time using social media can cause anxiety. Establish short periods to access the internet or watch TV.

3. Cook

Take the time to prepare food to focus and also use your creativity. Invite those who live with you to help you. Teach or learn a recipe.

4. Write or draw

A paper and a pen or pencil can be your allies in a moment of solitude. Record what you feel and think in a notebook, daily or when you need to organize your emotions. Or doodle for fun.

5. Read a book

Or more. Take the opportunity to travel without leaving home by reading. Reading before bed also helps you fall asleep.

6. Do something you enjoy

Dance, listen to music, crochet, learn a new language or play something with those who live with you … Take time for activities that you like and that can be done at home.

If you need to leave, take all necessary precautions. Wash your hands, wear a mask and stay two meters away from people.
